A Thread of Hope

IMG_3451

Today I painted. It was raining! A fire was burning in the fireplace and

my coach was watching football games. It was a wonderful collision of

my favorite things! Though my little corner of the world was nice and

cozy, I know many are discouraged and struggling. If it's a difficult

time of the year for you this little nest is for you.

'In this age of independence, people find it hard to acknowledge

their neediness'.

' However, I am thankful that God has highlighted my need for

Him: placing me in situations where my strengths were irrelevant

and my weaknesses were glaringly evident'. Through difficult

journeys, I have learned to thank Him for hard times, trusting

that through them He will accomplish His best work. 'I have

realized that needing Him is the key to knowing Him intimately,

which is the gift above all gifts. ~Jesus Calling p.348

A thread of hope will

keep your dreams alive.

That's so funny, Roxi, that was our "message" this week in our young couples mtg! As a Type-A person that tries to do it all, read it all, learn it all, live it all... I forget that I CANT do anything without the Lord. That was my goal this week (which, perfect timing into my last final) that I would give it to Him. My worries, my love... and just NEED Him. Thank you for your gentle reminder- gotta get back to studying- and praying ;) Love you!
