Proud as a Peacock

IMG_3406

This art project began when friend Dalia Stokes, texted the image last June below and asked if I would paint it on the exterior brick of the new location of her wildly popular shop Stokes & Co. @ 1441 S. 1st Abilene, Texas. Unfortunately the combination of plus 100 degree temperatures and our move to Temple made it seem unlikely but when Dalia contacted me two months ago with a revised idea of painting on plywood, I gladly accepted.

It was big (8 x 12 feet) challenge to paint, but I’m pleased as punch with the way it turned out!
