‘After-after’ Craft! With the flatware soaking and the dishes stacked, we put our heads together and figured out how to make these cute football door hangers.

It was pretty simple after we got the hang of it. Cut your shape out of 2 layers of brown burlap (Hobby Lobby) paint on the design, dry and brush on Matt Modge Podge (I added a little water) and let it dry until stiff. Hot glue the raw edges together leaving a raveled edge and 6 inch opening. Stuff with 10 to 20 grocery shopping bags to and dimension then hot glue the opening closed. Add a wire, a few ribbons and you done!

What a gift these ladies are! We are a sisterhood. Almost like family! We are living a lifestyle that requires much of our families. Husbands, wives and children. It isn’t for everyone but if your ‘cup of tea’ nothing else will do!

We are grateful to be the wives of these amazing men. Disciplined and driven, they could excel in many careers but they choose to rise early and sprint through a demanding day of teaching, leading, encouraging, advising, mentoring, inspiring and instilling life lessons into young lives. It’s non-stop and relentless. It’s often frustrating, thankless and exhausting but more times than not it is rewarding. Like all jobs of service, from mothers to military, it requires a degree of sacrifice and unselfishness. Something I’m still learning but have a keen eye of for.

So for all of you who serve others without reward or recognition, I applaud you. I and countless others who watch in quiet admiration learning how to be more like you.

Roxanne that looks like so much fun. The young football coaches I've known over the years have had to move around from time to time. I bet these girls are all so glad to have someone like you bonding them all together.
