I can’t wait to introduce you to my friend, Terrie! She is the cutest,
little ‘cupcake’ in the whole world! And sweet….I love her to pieces!
And will you check out her house? Isn’t it amazing! Trust me, it is!
I’ve spent many a day both inside and outside, upstairs, downstairs,
in the basement, on the back porch and my personal favorite, the front
porch. I can’t begin to describe how much fun it is to run around in this
house. It’s so Southern! I simply adore it! And you would too! And guess
what? IT’S FOR SALE!
This 1910 Greek Revival, sits on a double lot in the nicest historic
neighborhood. You know the kind of neighborhood I’m talking
about. Where neighbors feel comfortable to borrow a cup of sugar
visit and watch out for each other. Tree lined streets offer a
perfect place to walk and run. It’s simply amazing! It makes my
heart sing!
Entry with original wood floors and stained pocket doors.
The 2 fireplaces both have Tiger Oak mantels, marble and embossed
cast iron doors. Stained glass doors flank the fireplace and also in the full bath.
The heavily beamed ceilings are another beautiful feature.
The dining room is huge and has been the setting for many large
gatherings!
Terrie loves to cook and entertain and has updated this kitchen
into a cooks dream! Granite, stainless appliances, 5 burner
gas cook top, convection oven, warming drawer, ice maker, black
composite kitchen sink and a baking center with folding doors.
The eat in counter is a family favorite.
And just in case you haven’t noticed the hand painted red cabinets,
they are like a huge piece of useful art ( which I had a great time painting)!
And behind the painted cabinets, you’ll find a second set of stairs
that will take you upstairs to 3 bedrooms and 2 baths.
The Master Suite has it’s own bath, walk-in closets and private balcony.
The remaining bedrooms are spacious with closets and share a large
hall bath.
The screened-in back porch, like the entire home is oozing with
charm! Beyond the screen door is a large back yard and detached
2 car, plus storage. Oh! I almost forgot. It has a basement!!!
Terrie, a woman of beauty, has turned the 100 year
old house into a beautiful, inviting and livable home while enhancing
it’s character and charm. This big old home will be missed, but instead of getting
teary-eyed, I’ll thank God for bringing another family to live and love here.
Adding to the home’s long history and making their own fun memories!
