After a three month blog vacay, I’m back with a lot to share! Thanks to Clint and Jenny, who happen to have a spare laptop which they generously shared with me a few days ago. Though it’s taken all morning to get back on my blog feet, I’m excited to share what’s been happening around here.
Beth and Nate had a busy fall. With school, soccer, gymnastics, Girl Scouts and Play practice to squeeze into each week, their lives are full of excitement!
Jenny and Clint took a much needed vacation in Hawaii.
Carter, celebrated her 8th birthday Pool Party.
Kim and Bryan moved into the Saxton’s B & B, during the renovation of their 1948 house.

Kim, also made a few changes.
And is due any day now! We can hardly wait!
In November, we finally got a contract on the Magnolia House.
Fortunately, the little cottage in the Historic district was still available.
I quickly filled up a board I named Camp Contentment, with lot’s of fun ideas!
The Wildcats were Bi- District Champions and played Cedar Hill in the 1st round of Playoffs.
After leading the entire game, we lost in the last 40 seconds in stunning defeat. Cedar Hill, eventually won the State Championship, leaving our team and fans convinced that we can win it all next year!
At Thanksgiving, our family joined hearts and hands in a celebration of gratitude!
A few weeks later Jenny and Clint spent two weeks in Viet Nam, with Jenny’s family.
Coach and I, spent Christmas with the grandgirls.
Clint celebrated his 29th birthday!
On the same day Coach and I celebrated 37 years of marriage.
Emerson turned 4! Her request for a surprise birthday party was fulfilled!
My Mother, Vida, celebrated her 80th birthday surrounded by
children, grandchildren and great grandchildren!
Beth, order the prettiest cake from the Bird Bakery. Then embellished
it with garden roses, gilded candles and a 80!
And a delicious BBQ dinner at the Salt Lick.
I’ll never forget the expression on her face when we sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to
my mother. Surrounded by family in a circle of love, she was a radiant!
She was full of gratitude and thanksgiving… a beautiful site to see!
We closed on Camp Contentment 10 days ago! To say we’ve been busy
would be an understatement. Over the past 4 weeks we have painted,
pulled up carpet and tack strip, sanded and varnished. Then packed,
cleaned out and sold a Ton of things we didn’t need anymore.
We love this little house already! It’s just what we need! There is still plenty to do but things are quickly
taking shape. Ill be sharing pics soon.
Camp Contentment!
