At 5:00 sharp, owner Lynne Keys, opened the front door and warmly welcomed everyone inside. Lynne, instantly recognized Coach, who is a bit of a local celebrity due to the popularity of west Texas football and struck up a friendly conversation. After a few minutes of conversation I felt as though I had a new friend. Inside the house was open, bright, fresh and sparkling clean.
The Homeplace took my breath away! Homemade yeast rolls, cornbread, home style vegetables, chicken fried steak tasted great, just like grandma made. We were so impressed and pleased we spent the entire time making plans to come back often and sharing the good news with all our friends! So hear I am, off to a good start and shouting loud and clear.
So the next time your hungry for a little bit of home, take your apetite to

ReplyDeleteHi Roxanne, Ok, I'm starving now . . these pics looks fabulous. Looks like you guys had wonderful time and memorable too. My oldest was telling me about "west Texas football" pretty special in Texas, is it a live, eat, drink kind of thing? It must be lots of fun too. Thanks for the kind message you left on my post. I can't help but talk about God . . he's pretty special and I know he's special to you too. Happy Sunday!

Shame on you Roxanne! You and Coach have lived here 4 yrs. and your just now going out there. In college and while in Early, we would make special trips just to eat there :) Good stuff. My family being here this weekend all said, "OH We need to go back...." So, next visit, we are going back. Casey said, "Thanks for reminding me. We are going ASAP." ha. See you soon.
ReplyDeleteIf I lived in TEXAS, I'd be there - right NOW! Oh yum! Look at the southern home cookin'!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty, pretty place - and clean is right. Wow! No Denney's there!
