...but we've taken a few days to remove carpet, tack strip, pad, and glue from the living area of our home. In order to sand and refinish the preexisting, 73 yr old hardwood floors. It was a bit of a task but as you can see, well worth the time and trouble! The total cost was less than $250. Feel free to ask questions if you are considering such a project...we learned a lot this week and couldn't be happier.
Next project....clean out the garage and have a sale! Woohoo!!!
If you need anything don't hesitate to ask, I might have it!
Plan to paint tomorrow and post tomorrow! Until then.....
Oh Roxanne...the floors look great! Having wood floors is so much better than having carpet. It certainly warms up the room - probably a lot of hard work though!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!

Looks BEAUTIFUL!! Y'all did a great job. JR re-did our hardwood floors when we lived in Athens, they turned out great but not nearly as pretty as yours!
ReplyDeleteGreat Job!
Wowser! I know from experience how much love, sweat and tears are put into getting the floors to look that good. Thanks for being one of those to preserve the past. Your house is smiling.
ReplyDelete(I am looking for some pieces of tin with the flat approx. 4" squares if you happen to have any in your garage...)
