Backyard Worship!

For me, observing the beauty of nature, is like receiving little love notes from God. In the anatomy of one simple bloom, I begin to grasp the magnificence of God. Which reminds me of Romans 1:18-20. "For the truth about God is known instinctively to them. God has put this knowledge in their hearts. From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see His invisible qualities-His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God." So obviously there is something far greater going on here. My enjoyment for all nature (bugs excluded) is a divinely orchestrated plan to draw me deeper into the heart of God. Ingenious! It touches my soul to know He has been doing this my whole life. I can remember as a child on summer evenings the magical moment between dusk and dark, when fireflies danced across the lawn. Late night at the lake, watching tiny fish swimming into the underwater glow of light, and in the discovery of a robin's nest with beautiful blue eggs! I love knowing He's always been there. Whispering in the quiet of the night. Revealing the truth. Healing my heart with His redeeming love.

  3. Hey Roxanne -- I have enjoyed reading your blog when I get the chance -- we are headed out to camp tomorrow -- the summer is going to fly by -- I am so glad that we got in touch before the craziness of summer took over. May the Lord bless you and keep you.... Much Love
