Favorite things....porch!

It's unanimous! Everyone loves the porch on this house. It's a wonderful place, where Coach and I enjoy drinking our 'saturday morning' coffee.

It's also been the perfect spot for many a conversation!

Warm and cozy, much like a room, this porch has one purpose. . .relaxation!

So kick back and I'll grab you a glass of iced tea!

Favorite Things.......vintage bath!

This quaint little bath is another favorite at the top of my list!

It's white ceiling, walls and tile create a
spa like serenity. Making it the perfect backdrop for bold color and pattern.

Add a chandelier, a galvanized tool caddy, a rusty wrought column, several chippy mirrors, a time-clock card holder for unexpected fun! The shower curtain and towel are from Antropologie.
The tub, toilet and built-in vanity have been in the house since 1937. This original bath is a perfect blend of both old and new.

Favorite things......

Just in case you haven't heard, we're moving to Temple, Texas. Coach is officially the Athletic Director/Head Football Coach for the 5AAAAA Temple Wildcats. We have loved living in Abilene and will miss it! We won't have to change colors but we will have to change houses! So in the next few weeks I'll be trying to sell our house. It's a wonderful home, all 1936 sq. ft. of it. We've made a lot of great memories here. But now it's time for us to move into the next chapter of our lives. We will miss this place and all of our great neighbors. I can't help but wonder who will live here next.

So in the days to come, I've decided to share my favorite things about this 1937 Tudor Cottage.
First up, is the updated kitchen. Spacious with lots of cabinets, robin egg blue counter tops, stainless steel appliances, gas range, breakfast nook, 4 windows with brown toile roman shades and track lighting. I also like the open floor plan, where one area flows into another. Great for entertaining a crowd.

More favorite things to follow. Next up! The Dining Room...

Vintage home for sale by owner on Sayles Blvd. Abilene, Texas.

Coach has accepted the Athletic Director/ Head Football
job at Temple High School. This lovely home will belong to
someone else in the near future. Will it be you?

Our house is a 1937 Tudor Cottage. Though it has been updated in numerous ways, it still retains much of it's original charm. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and detached garage on a large landscaped corner lot. It is on pier and beam, has hardwood floors, carpet tile, central air and heat and new windows with solar screens. The electrical and plumbing are up to code. There is a pergola over the back patio, a garden shed, cobbleston paths and a sprinkler system. The kitchen appliances are stainless steel and the cook top is gas.

Click here to stroll through it!

I'll be glad to show it anytime!

Snow Day!

This morning we woke up to 9 inches of snow! After coffee and breakfast, I pulled on my boots, bundled up and headed out to take a few pics! Immediately I was struck by the beauty. Everything is transformed with when it has a few inches of snow. Common place objects become uncommon. Almost like works of art.

Let me show you a few of my favorites...
