After spending five fun filled days with my grand girls, while Beth and Kim had a lot of fun in DC, it was
good to have this little momma back home! Beth was glad! I was glad and Carter and Emme were DELIGHTED! Their mommy is the most beautiful woman in the world. They can’t get enough of her!
Wednesday, her first day back was a busy one! Last January, Beth was hired to coordinate her first wedding. If you have ever planned a wedding you know this is quite a task! A particularly large one when you are the mother of two young children but Beth enthusiastically accepted the brides offer and began planning what would turn out to be the most beautiful wedding I’ve seen to date! She did lot’s of research and home work. Taking no shortcuts, her standards were set high. With a keen eye, smart style sense she made impressive decisions. Determined for success and taking on everything but the cake and photography, Beth happily orchestrated many details. With the wedding only four days away, we hit the ground running! Running lot’s of errands, viewing the wedding site, making lists, phone calls, brain storming, plotting and planning took up most of the day. The highlight of the day was making an after school run to Lowe’s and stuffing the car full…Carter’s face says it all!
By the time 7:00 came we were SO EXCITED to prop our feet up and watch Kim on Survivor! Episode 10 proved to exciting as we watched the weekly drama unfold.
Though our eyes were glued on the TV, our hands were busy working on wedding decorations! Making 30 plus paper Pom Pom flowers! FYI these Martha Stewart kits are great but don’t wait until the last minute…very time consuming.
Thursday was another busy day as we marked one thing after another, on our ‘To Do’ list.
Occasionally thinking about Kim, who had was traveling to her first Nascar event to join Coach, Clint and Jenny and family friends. They loved it and were wowed by the experience! Needless to say, with millions of people watching the 24th season of Survivor One World, Kim was noticed. Did I mention we’re proud of her?
Friday was a BIG day! At 7:30 sharp, we pickup the fresh flowers Beth had ordered. I LOVE flowers and I was in heaven. I’ve never been surrounded by so many fresh flowers and just knowing that we were about to make 20 plus arrangements was sending me over the edge….the happy edge.
We had garden roses, peonies, larkspur, tulips, hydrangeas, sweet peas, anemones, ranunculus, Queen Anne’s lace, seeded eucalyptus, succulents and flowering branches. All in shades of white, pink and green.
We unloaded the flowers, soaked blocks of oasis in the bath tub and starting snipping flowers. Five hours later we finished up, pleased but with no time to spare we headed to the wedding rehearsal!
Coming up: The Wedding! You don’t want to miss this!
